Role Summary

The Head of Human Resources Operations will oversee the HR Operations team, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of all administrative functions within Human Resources, with an emphasis on outstanding service and an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and guidance for the HR operations team. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and drive engagement.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine HR processes and workflows to boost efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. Introduce best practices and innovative strategies to optimize operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations. Develop and implement policies that minimize risks and foster a culture of compliance.
  • Financial Oversight: Create and manage the HR operations budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and expense management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional HR teams and other departments, such as Finance, Legal, and IT, to align HR operations with the organization's strategic objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required. A Master's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of HR experience in a leadership role or as a high-level professional contributor is required. Expertise in HR functions, best practices, and legal compliance is essential. Preferred experience includes 4-6 years in a leadership role within an HR Shared Service delivery model.

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key external partners.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to utilize data for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for influencing stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Experience in budget development and variance reporting.
  • Proven track record in conflict resolution and project management.
  • Proficient in PC software applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Certifications

PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred. SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is also preferred.
