We provide comprehensive care across all age groups, ensuring that our patients and visitors receive exceptional service in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of menu items for meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as catering and special dietary needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor and record temperatures for refrigerators and freezers, as well as meal temperature logs.
  • Review communication boards and emails for updates regarding meal preparations.
  • Access patient diet orders from the system and adjust meal preparations accordingly.
  • Utilize spreadsheets for managing dietary specifications and portion control.
  • Perform dishwashing and sanitization duties as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas.
  • Assist in assembling and delivering meal trays to patients/residents.
  • Ensure timely service of meals in accordance with established schedules.
  • Adhere to health department regulations regarding food safety and personal hygiene.
  • Support the cleaning and resetting of dining areas post-meal service.
  • Provide training and orientation to new dietary staff as needed.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement activities within the department.
  • Attend departmental meetings and complete mandatory training as required.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training in food service or three years of relevant experience, preferably in an institutional setting.
COMPENSATION:

Hourly wage of $22.58

BENEFITS:

PRN Differential of $2.50/hr
