POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Nutrition Specialist plays a vital role in delivering personalized, safe, and effective medical nutrition therapies to both inpatients and outpatients, as well as other stakeholders.
This position will serve as a crucial collaborator within the nutrition department, contributing to the expansion of service offerings to better meet community needs.
Furthermore, this role involves working closely with food service teams to ensure compliance with nutritional standards and collaborating with various departments to enhance patient care quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver tailored medical nutrition therapies to patients as required.
2. Utilize counseling techniques and educational tools to encourage positive lifestyle changes.
3. Evaluate patients' nutritional requirements and develop personalized care plans.
4. Monitor and analyze data to assess nutritional needs and the effectiveness of interventions.
5. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and serve on committees as needed.
6. Assist in the design and implementation of new service lines.
7. Engage in quality improvement projects as assigned.
8. Collaborate with food service staff to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines.
9. Support meal planning and manage procurement needs as necessary.
10. Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records.
11. Conduct tray audits and other quality assurance tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and/or Dietetics.
2. Completion of an accredited internship recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
3. Successful completion of the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) examination.
COMPENSATION:
$35.50 per hour
