POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Nutrition Specialist plays a vital role in delivering personalized medical nutrition therapy to patients across various settings. This professional will collaborate closely with the nutrition department to enhance service offerings and meet the nutritional needs of the community. Furthermore, this role involves working alongside food service teams to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines and to elevate the overall quality of patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver tailored medical nutrition therapy to patients as per medical directives.
- Utilize counseling techniques and educational materials to encourage positive dietary changes.
- Evaluate the nutritional requirements of patients and develop customized care plans.
- Track and analyze data to assess patient nutritional needs and the success of interventions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care.
- Contribute to committees as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new service lines.
- Engage in quality improvement projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with various departments to achieve objectives related to quality and patient satisfaction.
- Provide training and support to food service staff to ensure compliance with nutritional standards.
- Assist in meal planning and manage inventory needs.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained using electronic health records.
- Conduct tray audits and other quality assurance tasks as required.
- Fulfill all job-related responsibilities and additional tasks as assigned by management.
- All staff members are expected to align with the mission, vision, and values of Estes Park Health.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or Dietetics.
- Completion of an accredited internship program recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Successful completion of the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) examination.
$35.50 per hour
