SLR is seeking a new team member to support us in driving change in social impact; to provide expert support to companies on their social impact journey and to support the growth of B4SI across the North American region. The role will be part of the global B4SI team ( www.b4si.net ) .

With demonstrable experience working in sustainability, community investment, CSR or responsible business the successful applicant will be an integral part of the team with responsibilities ranging from project oversight and delivery, business development, client management and thought leadership. The Senior Client Manager will have a key role developing and delivering work across our core services with a particular focus on network development, to enable businesses to maximize their societal impact through compelling strategies, effective implementation and robust measurement.

The role will also be a conduit between our social impact consulting services and our B4SI network, ensuring effective alignment and co-operation across teams.

The role will be based in East Coast time zone, however, could occasionally involve travel internationally on assignment.

Reporting to one of the senior B4SI team members, the Senior Client Manager will be required to work closely with all members of the team in EMEA & APAC regions, to achieve company, team and project objectives.

Business for societal Impact (B4SI) is the global standard in measuring and managing corporate social impact, and the B4SI Frameworks form a robust measurement standard that any company can apply to understand the difference their contributions through community investment, business innovation and social procurement, make to business and society.

Never has the “S” in ESG been as important to businesses and the people they impact, and through widespread interest in the use of the B4SI Frameworks, the B4SI team are expanding across all regions to meet the demand for its services.

Job Description

Required Skills and Technical Knowledge

4-5 years’ experience in sustainability, business or consulting OR in social impact assessment An ability to build close working relationships with clients and provide expert support in the application of the B4SI Frameworks, methodology and supporting materials. Direct experience in a client facing role, and in the context of social impact, either with internal or external clients. An understanding of the ESG agenda/Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability with a focus on Social Impact and what it means for business. Data analytics experience to enable proactive development of uses for data, to add value to B4SI and help its member companies make better decisions for increasingly positive societal impact. Ability to proactively track, analyze and report on account satisfaction, retention, and growth. An effective project manager, and team player, capable of managing multiple client queries concurrently. A personable, focused, and professional approach to work and a strong eye for and attention to detail. A strong communicator, capable of producing written reports and delivering oral presentations; ensuring good client service, this role will support the management and deliver of B4SI communications and events. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role. ACCP or equivalent preferred

Key Responsibilities

Client delivery, Project Management

Understand and interpret client needs, clearly communicating client goals to internal and external stakeholders Support a portfolio of businesses in the B4SI Network through regular account management service Deliver client projects, with a focus on supporting clients with developing and improving approaches to and measurement of their societal impact Analyse data, making clear judgements about content and its presentation Prepare & deliver presentations and reports for clients Coordinate multiple projects, ensuring milestones and action items are met within agreed timelines and there is clear communication with clients

Business development, Engagement, & Thought leadership

Draft and develop proposals with sign off from senior team members. Plan and participate in new business meetings, including research and scoping. Build partnerships with key industry stakeholders in the North America Region Plan and deliver social impact knowledge sharing opportunities for NA region (e.g. events, webinars, thought leadership etc) Partake in external engagement opportunities to boost B4SI recognition in NA Contribute to B4SI’s thought leadership through research, drafting articles and blogs Work with colleagues to develop new and innovate existing tools and services related to social impact Keep abreast of ESG landscape including regulatory requirements and best practices

Global Team engagement:

Work with global B4SI team (APAC & EMEA) to deliver on objectives and goals Act as a conduit between our social impact consulting services and our B4SI network, ensuring effective alignment and co-operation across teams.
