POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement assumes a pivotal role in driving strategic endeavors aimed at alumni participation in furthering the objectives and ethos of DePauw University. Duties encompass the creation and oversight of alumni affinity and newly graduated groups, planning of various alumni gatherings, and coordinating of designated alumni functions.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Work closely with the senior director of Alumni Engagement and the Director of Alumni Engagement to plan and implement various on-campus, virtual, and regional events, including, but not limited to, Alumni Reunion Weekends, Old Gold Weekends, Family Weekends, the Indianapolis Downtown Lunch Series, and Monon Bell telecast parties.
Enhance programming to reconnect people based on their specific affinity.
Oversee volunteer management of regional alumni associations in key DePauw markets to drive alumni activity toward meeting program-wide metrics.
Establish and manage Alumni affinity groups, some of which will be developed in conjunction with GOLD (Graduates Of the Last Decade) and the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Partner with GOLD and the Alumni Association Board of Directors to coordinate agendas and facilitate board meetings collaboratively.
Serve as the liaison for the executive committee for the GOLD Alumni Association Board.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of volunteer materials for GOLD and the Alumni Association Board.
Collaborate with the Development Office to expand pre-alumni education initiatives to foster lifelong engagement and philanthropic habits.
Additional projects/duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree required (four-year college or university).

Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in related functions. Five years' experience in developing affinity groups, development, and higher education is highly desired.
