The Nutritional Services Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting all dietary operations as directed, adhering to established dietary policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve meals that are visually appealing and enjoyable during designated meal times.
- Prepare meal trays, food carts, and dining areas as instructed.
- Assist in verifying diet trays prior to distribution.
- Help in serving meals to residents.
- Prepare and deliver snacks as needed.
- Transport food carts and trays to specified locations.
- Maintain accurate diet spreadsheets.
- Clean work surfaces, meat blocks, and storage areas.
- Wash and sanitize utensils as directed.
- Collaborate with the facility's dietitian and Dietary Supervisor to implement necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with all dietary procedures and policies.
- Prepare food and supplies for upcoming meals.
- Assist in inventory management and storage of incoming food and supplies.
- Participate in departmental projects and studies as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.
