Job Overview

Position Summary:

  • The role involves managing precise inventory levels, receiving raw materials and products into the inventory system, issuing necessary materials for production, and relocating production items to specified areas. Responsibilities also include storing and shipping in accordance with customer specifications and compliance regulations, while ensuring adherence to safety standards set by relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates material handling equipment, including forklifts, and ensures proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Efficiently loads and unloads trailers for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Utilizes inventory management software for tracking all receipts, movements, and issuance of materials.
  • Secures trailers and ensures safety protocols are followed during loading and unloading processes.
  • Manages dock operations, including the installation and removal of dock plates and ensuring dock doors are secured.
  • Prepares and stages orders for shipment, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Conducts regular inventory checks and reports discrepancies to the Warehouse Lead.
  • Handles returns and processes necessary documentation for shipments.
  • Engages in the preparation of production packaging and assists in maintaining organized staging areas.
  • Participates in inventory audits and contributes to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to all food safety protocols and workplace safety regulations.
  • Completes other assigned tasks as needed to support warehouse operations.
  • Acts as a backup for the Warehouse Lead when required.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience operating forklifts is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push or pull weights ranging from 5-25 lbs for a significant portion of the day.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of weights between 5-25 lbs.
  • Requires frequent grasping and handling of materials.

Equipment Utilized:

  • Forklifts, pallet jacks, computers, and other warehouse equipment.

Key Contacts:

  • Collaborates with management, production teams, maintenance staff, and quality assurance personnel.

Supervision:

  • Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
