Vestas American Wind Technology, Inc., Sales Director, Portland, OR. Lead the bidding and qualification of sales leads for Wind Turbine equipment transactions. Lead identification, development of customer relationships, direct selling of Vestas technology, and vetting of commercial opportunities. Leverage deep understanding of North America energy markets, customer business model, and Vestas products and services to enable commercial offerings which create and capture value. Lead a deal team in Value Engineering efforts, including analysts, engineers, commercial project managers, lawyers, and other subject matter experts. Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track accounts, develop opportunities, supervise customer data, and forecast deal evolution. Lead contractual negotiations with customers including but not limited to pricing, contractual terms and conditions, project schedule, and service duration. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.


Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Technical sales, commercial customer communications, and contract negotiation; Business development and strategy including selling capital projects, construction, operation, and maintenance; and Contractual negotiations with domestic and global accounts.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in Business development and strategy in energy transition projects.

Telecommuting permitted 5 days a week.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 50%.
