We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Division of Pediatric Transplant & Cellular Therapy at Duke University School of Medicine (SOM) as an Assistant Professor on the clinical track. This position offers the chance to work with a skilled team in caring for children undergoing pediatric cellular therapies. As a faculty member, you will participate in various conferences, educate house-staff and trainees, and contribute significantly to scholarly activities within the division.
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Trained in Pediatric Transplantation and Cellular Therapy
- Show dedication to scholarship
- Experience in quality improvement is a plus
- Demonstrate a commitment to embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive working and learning environment
- Direct reporting to the Division Chief of Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy
The Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy division at Duke Department of Pediatrics is a globally recognized transplant program that started in 1990. With a record of over 2,200 transplants for children and young adults with various diagnoses, we provide cutting-edge treatment for severe illnesses such as cancer, blood disorders, and immune deficiencies.
Our specialized inpatient unit ensures top-notch care for immunocompromised patients, offering treatments with personalized nursing from a highly skilled staff. We are dedicated to training the next generation of clinicians and researchers in the field. Our focus includes stem cell transplants, cellular therapy, gene therapy, and high-risk oncology treatments for pediatric and young adult patients.
Our team consists of experts in transplant and immunotherapy, fellows, advanced practice providers, coordinators, nurses, psychologists, translators, and many more. We collaborate closely with Duke's pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive care for complex cases post-transplantation.
