Position Summary
The Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist will be responsible for delivering exceptional respiratory care to our pediatric patients. This role is essential in supporting the mission of Advancing Health Together.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as outlined in the Respiratory Care Services scope of practice.
- Administer oxygen and aerosolized medications using various techniques, including Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB) and Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI).
- Perform airway management, including suctioning and CPR, while ensuring the safety and functionality of all equipment used in patient care.
- Engage in patient education and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans.

Qualifications
- Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate's Degree or equivalent).
- North Carolina State Licensure or Provisional License, along with certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.

- Strong clinical decision-making skills tailored to the specific needs of pediatric patients.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
