Position Overview
The Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy (PTCT) Clinical Service Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering specialized care and coordination for pediatric patients aged 0-21 years who are candidates for bone marrow or stem cell transplants. This position is vital to the PTCT interdisciplinary team, working collaboratively to enhance the physical, emotional, and educational experiences of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Expertise: Serve as a clinical resource for new patients and donors, ensuring thorough evaluations and assessments.
  • Patient Coordination: Schedule consultations, diagnostic tests, and necessary procedures, ensuring comprehensive pre-transplant preparation.
  • Education and Support: Provide essential education to patients and families regarding treatment processes, risks, and care protocols.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with healthcare teams to promote effective communication and patient safety.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and contribute to the education of nursing staff to enhance clinical competencies.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- A current, unrestricted RN license.
- Preferred certifications include CPHON and/or BMTCN.
- A minimum of one year of relevant clinical nursing experience.

Work Environment
This is a full-time position with a commitment to providing high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment. The role may require occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
