With a capacity of 1048 patient beds and 65 operating rooms, our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic resources, including a regional emergency/trauma center.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team on the night shift. This role is essential in providing comprehensive respiratory care to our pediatric patients, including those in critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as per the established protocols in the Respiratory Care Services.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen and aerosolized medications, in accordance with physician directives.
  • Perform critical procedures such as airway suctioning, CPR, and monitoring of vital signs.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary rounds to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory care and management.

Qualifications

Education: Completion of an accredited respiratory care program.

Licensure: Must hold a valid North Carolina State License and certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Experience: Previous clinical experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.

Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
