Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Grant Development Manager to join our esteemed non-profit organization. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission of supporting the community.

In this position, you will utilize your knowledge and experience to discover funding opportunities, craft persuasive grant proposals, and maintain meticulous records of awarded grants. Your outstanding abilities in grant writing and project oversight will be crucial in obtaining the necessary resources to advance our objectives.

This role requires a presence at our office with a flexible work-from-home arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a substantial grant fundraising portfolio valued at $6-7 million, with potential for growth as the organization expands.
  • Manage a departmental budget reaching up to $350,000.
  • Lead a team of two professionals in the Office of Mission Advancement, providing guidance, training, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Direct the entire grant lifecycle from research to application submission, award evaluation, and ongoing tracking.
  • Identify and assess government and private grant opportunities that align with our funding objectives.
  • Evaluate grant prospects to determine compatibility based on financial and strategic considerations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop grant strategies, budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Oversee the project management plan for all grant submissions, ensuring clarity in roles, timelines, and required components.
  • Review and authorize all grant applications prior to submission.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for grant revenue inclusion.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in grant fundraising.
  • At least 3 years of management experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
  • A genuine passion for non-profit work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
