Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Gift Planning Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive gift planning strategies for a complex portfolio and/or specific service needs.
- Analyze and Identify Potential Donors: Analyze information on potential contributors to develop sales strategies and identify new opportunities for planned giving.
- Build Relationships and Secure Gifts: Establish relationships with potential donors and secure planned gifts through effective communication and relationship-building.
- Manage Gift Planning Processes: Establish procedures for receiving, acknowledging, and reporting planned gifts, ensuring compliance with standard procedures and relevant regulations.
- Contribute to Marketing and Fundraising Efforts: Create and contribute to programs and marketing strategies to attract potential donors and promote the Red Cross's mission.
- Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in philanthropy studies or a related field is required, with a minimum of 5 years of major gift or gift planning experience.
- Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in planned giving vehicles and fundraising practices, strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and basic PC skills, including word-processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Additional Requirements: Familiarity with the Northern California region, own transportation, and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Competitive Salary and Benefits: A salary range of $95,000 - $112,000, depending on location, skills, and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, health spending accounts, and paid time off.
