Position Summary:

The HR Specialist and Employee Relations Coordinator plays a vital role in managing employee documentation, including personnel files, HRIS data, and various HR records. This position serves as a primary resource for candidates and new employees, as well as for current staff seeking assistance with employment-related inquiries such as payroll, benefits, leave policies, and adherence to company regulations. Additionally, this role is essential in fostering positive employee relations through the development and implementation of engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide extensive administrative support to the leadership team, which includes scheduling meetings, managing calendars, arranging travel, and preparing official communications.
  • Responsible for drafting, formatting, and revising a variety of documents such as reports, presentations, and spreadsheets as required by management.
  • Assist in the planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, and closure of various projects under the guidance of the leadership team.
  • Compose and distribute the company newsletter.
  • Support employee compensation, benefits administration, leave management, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and training initiatives, referring complex issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee the recruitment and offboarding processes in collaboration with department heads.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Facilitate orientation and recognition programs for new hires.
  • Organize and execute events to celebrate employee milestones such as birthdays and work anniversaries.
  • Ensure that the HRIS system and employee records are consistently updated.
  • Coordinate and manage planning for regular team-building lunches.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost integrity and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor that aligns with the company's values.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma along with a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in human resources administration preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Capability to access and navigate various departments within the organization.
