Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a talented Proposal Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with a flair for technical writing and design, tasked with crafting compelling and visually appealing proposals. You will collaborate closely with project managers and technical experts to produce persuasive documents that highlight our commitment to creating safe, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a high-performing proposal team, contributing to the development of effective strategies, themes, and unique selling points in collaboration with technical staff.
  • Thoroughly analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) content to accurately identify client requirements.
  • Create outstanding proposals and responses that emphasize Bolton & Menk's unique differentiators and strategic approach to specific opportunities.
  • Guide technical personnel of varying experience levels through the proposal development process.
  • Utilize your technical writing skills to craft persuasive cover letters, executive summaries, resumes, project descriptions, and ensure the formatting and editing of proposals meet high standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on proposal submissions and serve as a resource for marketing specialists and coordinators during proposal preparation.
  • Prepare presentations and other sales materials as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating graphics and the overall production of proposals.
  • Maintain up-to-date staff qualifications, project descriptions, and other proposal-related content.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company and client information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in proposal writing, case studies, and white papers, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced skills in desktop publishing software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Desirable skills include graphic design experience, familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, project management experience, and a basic understanding of the AEC industry.
  • Exceptional client needs assessment skills, with a focus on meeting quality service standards and evaluating client satisfaction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with excellent composition, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required, as travel to various job sites may be necessary.
