Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Jack Link's. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks to move materials and products within the warehouse.
  • Accurately select and package customer orders for shipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of work orders and ensure that all products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storage and use.
  • Unload trucks and validate deliveries against documentation, and notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.
  • Unload meat trucks and complete weighing and temperature review of each pallet and document each measurement.
  • Notify Supervisor or Food Safety Quality (FSQ) of any discrepancies.
  • Distribute items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
  • Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.
  • Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait Truck.
  • Operate Yard Spotter Truck (training provided).
  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • 1-3 Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.
  • Basic computer, email experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work well with others.
  • Working knowledge of computers and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; must work effectively with others.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a plant/office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors. Travel may be required.
