Position Title: Senior Auditor (onsite/hybrid)

Position Overview
As a vital member of the Internal Audit team, you will contribute to AgriBank's mission of supporting those who nourish the world. In the role of Senior Auditor, you will engage in comprehensive audits of AgriBank, aiming to enhance and safeguard organizational value by delivering risk-based and objective assurance, guidance, and insights. This position also involves evaluating internal processes and controls to ensure risk mitigation and adherence to regulations, policies, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Audits

  • Conduct client interviews to identify and assess operational risks, aiding in the development of audit scope and work programs.
  • Plan and execute audits to evaluate risk and control requirements; maintain thorough audit documentation; analyze complex data and derive logical conclusions.
  • Draft detailed audit reports.
  • Communicate audit findings to management, including actionable recommendations to enhance risk management practices.
  • Evaluate client action plans to determine their adequacy.
  • Perform follow-up procedures to verify the implementation and resolution of client action plans.
  • Review audit work papers to ensure that conclusions and recommendations are substantiated.
Projects and Consulting Services
  • Assist in the annual risk assessment of technology, financial, and operational processes.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the annual audit plan for Audit Committee approval.
  • Participate in the annual fraud risk assessment.
  • Engage in the audit department's oversight of Bank functions through team or committee meetings.
  • Contribute to special projects and consulting services as appropriate.
Department Support
  • Provide input on scheduling audits to fulfill the operations audit plan.
  • Support IT auditors in completing IT audits as part of the annual audit plan.
  • Review and offer feedback to the VP of Internal Audit on departmental materials for presentation to management or the audit committee.
  • Compile internal audit department information for external auditors or examiners, attending meetings to discuss IT audits.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 4 - 6 years of relevant audit experience.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the role.
Knowledge
  • Advanced understanding of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework, including the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
  • In-depth knowledge of Internal Control Models and Control Analysis Techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial institution operations.
  • Intermediate understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Farm Credit Administration regulations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of internal controls and frameworks, including the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO).
Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in querying data sets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced proficiency with audit management software (e.g., Pentana Audit).
  • Advanced proficiency with data query tools and relational databases.
