Element Materials Technology is a prominent entity in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification sector, offering opportunities to deliver quality compliance evaluations to our clientele.
This position is part of our BM TRADA division, specifically focusing on certification services for the construction sector, particularly in passive fire safety, PAS24 security, timber construction, and welding domains.
We are open to considering candidates with transferable skills from the construction field or quality assurance professionals eager to learn about building products.

- Oversee a portfolio of BM TRADA clients, both new and existing, within the fire door and fire stopping installation schemes.
- Schedule, conduct, and complete site evaluations of installers and maintainers within the timelines stipulated by the certification schemes.
- Accurately document findings during client assessment visits and submit reports in accordance with operational targets.
- Review and endorse responses to any non-conformities identified during audit visits within agreed timelines.
- Serve as the primary contact for any certification inquiries from clients.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Preferably possess a background in construction, having experience in carpentry/joinery and familiarity with British and European standards relevant to fire door production and installation materials.
- Full certification scheme training, including the IRCA ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, will be provided.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK.
- Manage your own schedule, spending 4 days on the road and 1 day working from home for report writing.
- As remote and onsite audits will be conducted, travel will be a component of the role. We aim to minimize excessive travel while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. To assist with workload management, we also provide our Assessors with an administrative day each week.
