Job Overview:
The Senior Account Executive is accountable for ensuring client retention, driving membership growth, and promoting new offerings within the designated portfolio of accounts to meet financial and operational objectives. This role involves crafting and implementing a strategic business plan that positions Kaiser Permanente to maximize opportunities within the assigned accounts. The position also requires the development and execution of marketing and account strategies that strengthen Kaiser Permanente's market presence. The Senior Account Executive will lead account teams and support staff to ensure the successful implementation of sales initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates collaboration in the creation and execution of strategic and tactical plans aimed at realizing growth potential and fostering strong business partnerships within each account.
  • Identifies opportunities for membership growth, retention, and expansion through thorough analysis of client business goals, industry trends, and healthcare market dynamics.
  • Formulates ongoing member enrollment strategies to achieve targeted growth metrics.
  • Consistently meets or surpasses retention and growth objectives for existing accounts within the designated portfolio.
  • Positions the organization strategically to ensure optimal membership expansion while safeguarding against potential losses.
  • Recognizes, capitalizes on, and finalizes cross-selling opportunities.
  • Identifies and communicates early indicators of risks and opportunities within the market.
  • Prepares and presents business cases to executives, assessing membership and financial implications along with other pertinent factors.
  • Develops comprehensive strategies and engagement plans for Open Enrollment to meet growth targets.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to design and implement territory and account management sales strategies.
  • Leads and manages the account team in prioritizing and targeting accounts, creating specific account plans, and directing daily operations to achieve account objectives.
  • Develops and executes strategic account plans to ensure the achievement of group-specific goals, including administration, negotiations, and client presentations.
  • Collects, utilizes, and accurately analyzes competitive data to inform management decisions in a timely manner, facilitating the attainment of desired account outcomes.
  • Analyzes current industry and competitor trends, applying market knowledge to the account planning process.
  • Coordinates marketing, management, and technical resources to fulfill existing account sales objectives.
  • Provides analytical insights and recommendations to support senior leadership's involvement in strategic initiatives.
  • Enhances Kaiser Permanente's competitive standing in the marketplace.
  • Establishes strategic partnerships to continuously enhance business relationships with clients, optimizing growth potential.
  • Works closely with Sales Executives/Managers to maintain positive relationships with brokers and consultants.
  • Builds and sustains broker/channel partnerships to expand business opportunities.
  • Initiates and leads the development of account-specific strategies in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Consults strategically with customer channels on all aspects of offerings and strategies.
  • Implements and manages account plans to ensure the achievement of group-specific objectives.
  • Effectively utilizes support staff, including Associate Account Managers, to enhance sales execution and optimize time management.

  • Develops ongoing strategies and engagement plans to achieve growth targets.
  • Prepares and presents business cases to executives, assessing financial implications alongside other relevant factors.
