Job Overview

We are in search of a Lead Senior Accountant who possesses a robust expertise in financial accounting. This role is crucial for ensuring the precise and timely closure of financial records across our international operations. The Lead Senior Accountant will work in close collaboration with the finance director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for various entities.
  • Prepare month-end financial reporting support documents.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to guarantee accurate and prompt submission of financial information.
  • Conduct reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and address any inconsistencies.
  • Compile and evaluate financial statements for management assessment.
  • Assist in formulating and executing accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to local regulations and GAAP.
  • Support audits performed by external auditors.
  • Maintain and control the general ledger to ensure proper classification, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Manage cash and banking transactions and perform reconciliations.
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc financial reporting assistance for internal departments.
  • Support the administration of corporate compliance items (state filings, licenses, etc.).
  • Assist in potential future company acquisitions.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, particularly in financial reporting and closing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $75K to $80K.
