Human Resources and Special Projects Coordinator

The Human Resources and Special Projects Coordinator will serve as the primary contact for providing comprehensive, responsive, and transparent support within the human resources (HR) domain. This role encompasses a variety of complex responsibilities across multiple initiatives and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of HR activities and special projects, including addressing inquiries, facilitating recruitment and onboarding processes, and managing rewards and recognition programs.
- Promote diversity and inclusion efforts, oversee performance management, and contribute to compensation strategies.
- Engage in project management tasks, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing activities to ensure successful and timely project execution.
- Monitor project scope and timelines, compile relevant data, analyze findings, and prepare necessary documentation and reports.
- Contribute to staff training initiatives, participate in various committees, and undertake additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Required:
A bachelor's degree in a related field; a minimum of two years of project management experience, ideally within an HR context; a solid understanding of HR functions, including employment law, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and onboarding; proficient in Microsoft Office applications; exceptional attention to detail; proactive problem-solving abilities; and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of work, handle multiple concurrent tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision. Must remain adaptable to changing situations while maintaining quality standards, anticipate the needs of managers and stakeholders, and effectively resolve issues in a timely manner.
Preferred:
Experience with MIT and possession of project management certification are advantageous.
Salary Range:
$64,000 - $68,000
