Job Overview
A prominent manufacturing company, Roessel Joy, is in search of an HR and Administration Specialist to work closely with the executive team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing documentation, providing reports to senior management, and overseeing payroll functions. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses advanced skills in Excel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and facilitate all aspects of the recruitment process.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of job postings and advertisements.
  • Maintain precise records of current job openings and applications; manage both internal and external job postings. Evaluate applications for entry-level and non-exempt roles; screen candidates and select the most qualified individuals.
  • Coordinate interview schedules; prepare interview questions and other relevant materials.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing HR metrics and workforce reports to identify trends in recruitment, hiring practices, employee motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team to develop effective recruiting strategies tailored to the organization's needs and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR staff during the offer process, onboarding, and other relevant details.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Participate in college job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions, orientations, and exit interviews for new employees.
  • Review job descriptions to establish appropriate classifications and salary ranges.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and interpretation.
  • Offer support to employees regarding employment-related inquiries.
  • Administer and implement employee programs, events, and training sessions.
  • Process personnel transactions, job inquiries, applications, and documentation related to disciplinary actions and resignations with confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and resources.
  • Update and maintain HR standard operating procedures and departmental organization charts.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of employee records and information acquired through various means.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations governing HR operations.
  • Familiarity with policies, procedures, and standards related to HR activities.
  • Understanding of departmental organization and general duties of HR positions.
  • Experience with recruitment strategies and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws.
  • Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Familiarity with modern office procedures and computer systems.
  • Proficient in various software applications, particularly Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary for developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Able to perform a variety of tasks that may change frequently.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios.
  • Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in Human Resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
