Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Strategy and Human Resources Operations plays a pivotal role in optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of our Human Resources department. This leader will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to strategize and implement HR initiatives. Responsibilities include overseeing special projects, managing the HR budget, and crafting communication strategies. This role also encompasses leading comprehensive HR service delivery, ensuring compliance, and managing the entire employee lifecycle from hiring to retirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CHRO and HR leadership to design and execute an HR strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Analyze current HR processes to identify opportunities for strategic improvements.
- Facilitate planning sessions with key stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain a forward-thinking HR strategy.
- Utilize data insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop roadmaps to guide the HR team in achieving both short-term and long-term goals.
- Create and manage project plans to ensure timely execution of HR initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation within HR operations.
- Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the adoption of new HR strategies.
- Communicate the HR strategy across the organization to ensure alignment and engagement.
- Organize and facilitate HR All Hands meetings and offsite events.
- Manage various special HR projects to support organizational goals.
Budget Oversight:
- Oversee the HR department's budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Prepare and monitor the operating budget and expenditures.
- Provide financial reports and forecasts to the CHRO.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimize HR expenses.
Communication Strategy:
- Develop and implement HR communication strategies.
- Draft and edit internal communications to ensure consistent messaging.
- Coordinate with communication teams for alignment on messaging.
HR Operations Management:
- Lead and develop the HR Operations team.
- Collaborate with the business to ensure alignment on processes and facilitate change management.
- Document processes to ensure clarity and ease of decision-making.
- Drive a strategic roadmap for process excellence and automation.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies utilizing data and feedback.
- Support the implementation of new business processes and automation.
- Work with legal teams to ensure compliance with policies across global offices.
- Manage relationships with HR operations vendors and partners.
Workforce Planning:
- Lead workforce planning efforts, analyzing staffing needs.
- Coordinate with Talent Acquisition to address workforce gaps.
- Utilize analytics to forecast workforce requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 15-20 years of progressive HR experience, including 5-7 years in management roles.
- Proven project management and financial acumen.
- Experience in HR operations is essential.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
