Position: Senior Vice President of Branch Management

Work Hours: The schedule will align with the operational hours of the relevant time zone. Seasonal Saturday hours may be necessary based on business demands. This is a full-time, exempt position. The Company reserves the right to modify work schedules as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility: Oversight of District Managers, Assistant Vice Presidents, Branch Offices, and Staff

Reports To: Senior Vice President of Branch Operations

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will oversee the comprehensive administration and coordination of all branch functions across a specified group of districts within a defined region. You will:

  • Formulate, assess, and propose objectives, policies, and procedures to achieve strategic aims.
  • Ensure the efficient and profitable operation of branches while adhering to company policies and legal regulations.
  • Utilize your industry expertise and leadership skills to influence business outcomes, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster employee engagement.

Essential Duties:

  • Assess the performance of branch office systems and individual branches through reviews of activities and analysis of statistical reports, incorporating feedback from senior executives.
  • Set income and expense targets in alignment with the company’s strategic plan.
  • Provide direction, training, and evaluation for Branch Managers and District Managers.
  • Assist in achieving sales, growth, and profitability objectives.
  • Develop proactive strategies to navigate the complex legal and economic landscape.
  • Represent the organization at community events to enhance its reputation and generate business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular meetings with District and Branch Managers to facilitate effective communication and support.
  • Address customer service challenges and ensure high service standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and auditing professionals as necessary.
  • Manage and monitor departmental budgets, including reviewing and approving amendments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations across the branch network.
  • Conduct semi-annual operational reviews of assigned branches to evaluate customer service, business development, and compliance with procedures.
  • Work with senior leadership on change management initiatives.
  • Lead training sessions on best practices and policy updates.
  • Communicate critical information regarding policy or regulatory changes to branch operations.
  • Drive initiatives that positively impact operations beyond the branch level.
  • Promote behaviors aligned with the company’s core values.
  • Engage in company meetings and professional development to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Perform additional duties as required based on market needs and staffing levels.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of nine years of relevant experience in Consumer Lending or Financial Services, with progressively responsible roles.
  • At least six years of proven managerial experience with a track record in budget management and operational oversight.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, or Economics; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial services software.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence lending and collections strategies at the corporate level.
  • Experience in developing and mentoring team members.
  • Must obtain necessary licenses for selling insurance products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a District Manager or Assistant Vice President within Mariner Finance or its affiliates.

Physical Demands:

This role requires frequent sitting, reaching, and operating computer systems. The employee must be physically present in the office and may occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
