About the Position:

We are in search of a seasoned and strategic Senior Vice President of Strategic Acquisitions with extensive expertise in the light industrial sector. This pivotal executive role will concentrate on identifying, assessing, and executing acquisition prospects that align with the organization's growth ambitions. The ideal candidate will have profound insights into the light industrial market, encompassing trends, competitors, and potential acquisition targets, along with a demonstrated history of successful transactions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute acquisition strategies that align with the company's overarching business objectives and growth initiatives within the light industrial domain.
  • Market Research: Perform comprehensive market analysis to pinpoint potential acquisition targets, including emerging opportunities and competitive challenges in the light industrial arena.
  • Opportunity Sourcing: Establish and nurture a pipeline of acquisition prospects by fostering relationships with industry contacts, investment bankers, brokers, and other critical stakeholders.
  • Due Diligence Leadership: Oversee the due diligence process for prospective acquisitions, coordinating with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial, operational, legal, and market risks.
  • Financial Assessment: Supervise the development and assessment of financial models to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of potential acquisitions, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  • Negotiation Leadership: Direct negotiations with target firms, including structuring deal terms, pricing, and financing arrangements, ensuring advantageous outcomes for the organization.
  • Integration Strategy: Create detailed integration plans to facilitate seamless transitions post-acquisition, focusing on maximizing synergies and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Communication with Stakeholders: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and the Board of Directors regarding acquisition activities, deal progress, and strategic recommendations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of acquisition professionals, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages innovation, accountability, and excellence.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all acquisition activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies. Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the acquisition process.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a minimum of 5 years in the light industrial sector. Proven history of successful acquisitions and integrations.
  • Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the light industrial market, including industry trends, key players, and competitive dynamics.
  • Strong financial expertise with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
  • Exceptional negotiation and deal structuring capabilities.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and leverage growth opportunities.
