SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF FUNDRAISING:
This role is pivotal for the financial sustainability of enriching the lives of youth through impactful educational experiences.

In a collaborative team setting, this position leads the fundraising initiatives and secures essential revenue and resources to achieve the strategic goals of Boys and Girls Country of Houston.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a proven history of successful fundraising endeavors. The position encompasses a broad focus and is full-time, offering a competitive salary, bonus opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Formulates and executes fundraising strategies while overseeing development operations throughout the organization, including special events, sponsorships, corporate and individual contributions, foundations, and community organizations.

Designs and implements giving campaigns, providing timely and precise reports to the Board of Directors and relevant committees regarding the progress of all fundraising activities.

Supervises staff responsible for special events and campaigns to ensure successful outcomes.
Collaborates with existing and prospective corporate partners to cultivate financial support and develop special event strategies.
Creates and manages the budget for all fundraising-related activities.
Maintains Development department records in accordance with organizational standards and objectives.
Establishes an annual calendar for the department, outlining timelines, procedures, and responsibilities.
Works with the Administrative team to enhance data tracking, customer service, and accurate financial reporting.
Delivers precise data or contributor history for annual reporting produced by the relevant department.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the President.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience, along with a minimum of 6 years of successful fundraising experience involving corporate and foundation solicitation.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with strong business development and persuasion skills.
Proven track record of successful fundraising capabilities. Experience in meeting deadlines and surpassing objectives.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proven capacity to maintain confidentiality.
Must be a motivated self-starter with a robust work ethic.

Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with an emphasis on public speaking, persuasive communication, effective listening, and the ability to translate concepts into relatable language for diverse audiences.

Demonstrated skills in staff development and management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising database platforms is required.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and travel as necessary.
