Key Responsibilities:


- Conduct customer visits for comprehensive application assessments in collaboration with the Sales/System Integrator team to identify customer needs and propose suitable automation solutions.

- Design system architecture, prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), and submit Proof of Concept (PoC) reports to the sales team for advanced automation projects.

- Collaborate with Sales teams to review submitted PoCs and follow up on order closures.

- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and trials alongside the Sales team to determine the optimal configuration of automation hardware.

- Develop application programs for automation products, including PLCs, Servo drives, HMIs, Vision systems, Safety devices, and Robots, in accordance with the established Sequence of Operation (SOP).

- Oversee the installation and commissioning of automation projects for clients within agreed timelines.

- Review customer application blueprints and closely monitor project execution in partnership with channel partner engineers until successful project commissioning.

- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient execution and positioning of project applications.

- Provide technical support to end users, OEM customers, and channel partners via phone, email, and on-site visits.

- Conduct training programs and On-the-Job Training (OJT) for customers and channel partners to enhance their understanding of Omron products.

- Organize seminars, road shows, and trade shows to promote Omron products.

- Prepare and submit monthly reports, technical notes, quick start guides, success stories, and Proof of Concept documentation.


Job Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
  • B.E. or equivalent diploma in Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in application programming, installation, and commissioning of automation products such as HMIs, PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, Safety devices, and Servo & Motion Controllers.
  • Experience in automation sectors including Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive, Digital, and Infrastructure.

Functional Skills:
  • Proficient in programming, installation, and commissioning of PLCs, Motion Controllers, Servo systems, Machine Vision, and Safety solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in industrial networking and communication protocols such as DeviceNet, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, and EtherCAT.

Behavioral Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Goal-oriented with a willingness to invest additional effort when necessary.

Travel:
Travel may be required within the assigned region for business purposes.
