Essential Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in complexity and responsibility to the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, demonstrating the capability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
Specialized experience is characterized as:
Assisting in the supervision and program management of developing systems aimed at prevention and recovery to address potential risks to an organization.
Defining, establishing, and upholding roles and responsibilities.
Delivering training on principles of business continuity.
Acting as a coordinator and advisor, effectively communicating with management and both internal and external stakeholders regarding various initiatives.
Both paid and unpaid experiences, including volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social) are recognized.
Volunteer experiences contribute to the development of critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, providing valuable training and experience that can translate into paid employment.
