Position Overview

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Operations Management Assistant within the Operations, Events, and Safety division at The Morris Inn. This division is responsible for overseeing event management, hospitality services, and customer support, all while enhancing student life, academic pursuits, and research activities.

In this position, you will oversee the daily operations of the assigned rooms division department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assigning rooms and managing associate tasks
  • Supervising and inspecting work to ensure compliance with four diamond standards
  • Scheduling and managing payroll
  • Participating in hiring processes and implementing corrective actions
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinating maintenance and project initiatives

You will serve as a vital link between the Food & Beverage managers and the overall hotel operations, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Establishing and nurturing professional relationships, both internally and externally, is essential for the smooth operation of The Morris Inn. Additionally, this role includes participation in the hotel Manager on Duty (MOD) program.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED along with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Special Instructions for Applicants

Compensation

The hiring pay range will be commensurate with experience.

Employment Status

This is a full-time, exempt position.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is variable and may include weekends and holidays, with an expectation of 40+ hours per week throughout the year.
