Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome, register, and allocate rooms to guests.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries.
  • Process charges (room, food, telephone), calculate bills, collect payments, and provide change to guests.
  • Handle reservations and confirmations.
  • Oversee room availability.
  • Block rooms as necessary.
  • Schedule wake-up calls.
  • Manage guest mail and messages.
  • Facilitate check-out procedures.
  • Open and close shifts, including cash drops when required.
  • Maintain market stock and coffee area as needed.
  • Provide information about hotel services, such as dining options and room service.
  • Assist guests with directions and local area information.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness of the lobby and surrounding areas.
  • Check lobby fixtures and equipment for proper operation and report any issues.
  • Coordinate shuttle services for guests (if applicable).
  • Ensure safe transportation for guests using hotel shuttle vehicles (if applicable).
  • Perform laundry duties as needed (if applicable).
  • Oversee continental breakfast setup and cleanup (if applicable).

Qualifications

We seek a self-driven Front Desk Clerk with a strong commitment to excellence and a robust work ethic. Excellent communication skills are essential.

  • 1 to 3 months of relevant experience; High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer and administrative skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with no major violations.
