Key Responsibilities


As a Front Desk Clerk, you will engage in a variety of guest service tasks while delivering the highest standards of service.

Your specific responsibilities will encompass:

  • Welcoming, registering, and assigning accommodations to guests.
  • Responding to telephone inquiries.
  • Processing charges (e.g., room, food, telephone), calculating bills, collecting payments, and providing change to guests.
  • Making and confirming reservations.
  • Monitoring room availability.
  • Blocking rooms as necessary.
  • Programming wake-up calls.
  • Managing guest mail and messages.
  • Facilitating check-out procedures.
  • Opening and closing shifts, including cash drops as required.
  • Maintaining market stock and coffee areas as needed.
  • Providing information regarding hotel hours and available services, such as dining options and room service.
  • Assisting guests with directions and local area information.
  • Helping to maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, front entrance, and surrounding areas.
  • Checking all lobby fixtures and equipment for proper operation and reporting any deficiencies.
  • Scheduling shuttle services for guests (if applicable).
  • Ensuring safe transportation for guests using hotel shuttle vehicles (if applicable).
  • Performing laundry duties as needed (if applicable).
  • Overseeing the continental breakfast area, including closing and cleaning duties (if applicable).

Qualifications


We seek a self-driven Front Desk Clerk with a strong work ethic and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

Excellent communication skills are essential.

Specific qualifications for this position include:

  • 1 to 3 months of relevant experience; a high school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Capability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic computer and administrative skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules.
  • A valid Driver's License from the state of residence with no major violations.
