Job Summary

The Garland Company, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Promote and sell our products and services to existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service to accounts that have questions regarding their invoices by means of phone calls, emails, and/or in-person meetings.
  • Market Analysis: Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for our organization's products/services.
  • Proposal Development: Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Problem Resolution: Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma required, post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Experience: Sales experience and cooperative contract development/management.
  • Skills: Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving, ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach), results-orientated, and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel: Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, operate a motor vehicle, and maintain a valid state motor vehicle driver's license.
