Position Overview
The Sales Territory Executive is accountable for implementing strategies to secure and uphold market share within a designated sales area through effective planning, thorough coverage, and compelling sales presentations, along with various administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes and embodies the Kirby-Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
- Maintains a high level of understanding of marketing and financial programs, preparing detailed quotations that highlight features, benefits, and available financing options
- Achieves and sustains comprehensive product knowledge through training sessions and self-directed learning
- Enhances interpersonal and sales skills through continuous education and self-improvement
- Builds and nurtures personal relationships with clients, identifying their needs and determining optimal solutions
- Monitors and analyzes competitors' machinery, financing, and marketing strategies
- Acts as a liaison between Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. and clients in all facets of customer relations
- Ensures timely follow-up on all sales and rental transactions, confirming accuracy and completion
- Completes all necessary documentation accurately and punctually
- Conducts all business transactions ethically and professionally
- Identifies and profiles potential clients within the territory, expanding the customer base
- Keeps management informed of any changes within the territory
- Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred
- Experience with vacuum trucks and sewer cleaning equipment is essential
- A minimum of three (3) years in construction equipment sales
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and customer demands
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical capability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, hazardous materials, and fumes
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) policies and maintenance of individual PPE
