Key Responsibilities
  • Generate leads and maintain prospective customer lists.
  • Conduct canvassing of customer orders within the assigned travel area.
  • Provide assistance to customers via phone or in-person interactions.
  • Utilize samples or company catalogs to effectively showcase products.
  • Attend trade shows to promote services and products.
  • Collaborate with company representatives to ensure that accounts and literature are up-to-date.
  • Maintain accurate customer information in an electronic database.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with referring practices.
  • Manage transactions and expense account reporting.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for sales leads.
  • Travel throughout the designated territory to solicit orders.
  • Engage with customers on the sales floor or via phone.
  • Demonstrate products using samples or catalogs; participate in trade shows.
  • Coordinate customer training and maintain current customer sales data in the database.
  • Participate in direct mail programs to ensure proper processing of developed materials.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and maintain expense accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve delivery-related customer issues.
Qualifications
  • A four-year college degree is required.
  • Experience in sales or customer service, totaling at least one year.
  • Ability to travel locally is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in sales or customer service is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory is required.
