Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time Lease Administrator to join our team at Berik Management. In this role, you will manage the daily functions of multiple properties, which includes budget oversight, communication with brokers for new leases, lease document preparation, and vendor coordination. This position is primarily based in New York City, with the potential for some remote work flexibility.


The salary range for this role is between $50,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships with property owners and clients to ensure objectives are met.
  • Utilize Yardi Property Management Software for financial transactions, budget preparation, and reporting.
  • Handle accounts receivable tasks, including rent collection, reconciliations, and compliance with lease agreements.
  • Address tenant inquiries and collaborate with property management and building staff to resolve issues.
  • Monitor lease agreements, ensuring compliance in billing and rent collection, including critical date management.
  • Maintain accurate records for vendors and tenants.
  • Draft correspondence and memos for tenants and vendors.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with leasing brokers to efficiently manage vacant spaces and enhance occupancy rates.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on landlord-tenant matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in property management, particularly in residential and commercial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of market rate, condominium, and cooperative properties.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficient in Yardi, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
