POSITION: CONSTRUCTION PROJECT LEADER

The Construction Project Leader is pivotal in steering all stages of project planning and execution. This role encompasses overseeing every facet of field operations, ensuring compliance with project timelines, financial plans, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks. As a natural leader, you will inspire teams to achieve project success and uphold our esteemed reputation as a reliable General Contractor.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Over 20 years of supervisory experience in the construction sector.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Positive demeanor, strong work ethic, and innovative mindset.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement within teams.
  • Current OSHA 30 certification.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in construction management, particularly with large-scale projects.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel frequently is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to construction teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Oversee all pre-construction activities, including crisis management, site logistics, and safety planning.
  • Manage and supervise all field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in assigned projects.
  • Implement and adjust project schedules as required, working closely with the project management team.
  • Collaborate with project managers on subcontractor selection and procurement processes.
  • Work with the Quality Control team to ensure adherence to project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain budget alignment for labor, materials, and equipment, addressing issues proactively.
  • Engage with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and meet specifications.
  • Ensure completion of all project closeout tasks, including punch list execution and final inspections.
  • Lead initiatives in Lean methodologies and standard work practices on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, with routine exposure to dust and materials. Employees may need to work at heights and perform physical tasks such as reaching, standing, and using tools.
