Position Summary:
We are currently seeking skilled Industrial Water/Wastewater Superintendents to lead our Infrastructure sector in executing water and wastewater treatment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
The Industrial Water/Wastewater Superintendent will oversee the comprehensive planning and management of assigned projects, ensuring all phases from pre-construction to post-construction are executed effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Directing all pre-construction activities, including the development of crisis management plans, site logistics, and safety protocols.
- Managing McGough field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in the projects, including daily coordination and material delivery.
- Implementing and adjusting project schedules in collaboration with the Project Management team to maintain timelines.
- Collaborating with the Project Management team on subcontractor selection, RFIs, procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with project-specific quality control requirements.
- Maintaining accurate on-site documentation, including drawings and inspection logs.
- Monitoring project budgets and addressing any issues that arise.
- Facilitating project closeout tasks, including punch list execution and final inspections.
- Promoting a safe work environment through job safety meetings and adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Building and nurturing relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5-8 years of experience in water/wastewater construction.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Positive demeanor, strong work ethic, and innovative mindset.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
- Current OSHA 30 certification.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Preferred:
- Two or four-year degree in a construction-related field.
- Additional 5-8 years of field experience.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel frequently and accept assignments that may last from weeks to months.
Physical Demands:
This role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, including exposure to dust and other materials. Employees may need to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights using ladders and scaffolds.
