Position Overview:

The Cannabis Retail Operations Leader will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and sales management within the retail environment, actively driving growth and success. This role emphasizes staff training and development, sales enhancement, exceptional customer service, brand integrity, and efficient management of all operational aspects.

Core Responsibilities:

As the Cannabis Retail Operations Leader, you will be instrumental in fostering business growth, maximizing sales potential, and creating a customer-focused environment where every interaction strengthens customer loyalty and brand connection. Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to boost revenue and meet sales objectives.
  • Leading and motivating team members to effectively implement sales initiatives, providing ongoing coaching to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
  • Establishing and tracking performance metrics to assess and improve team sales effectiveness.
  • Initiating promotional campaigns and marketing strategies to increase customer traffic and elevate sales, utilizing both traditional and digital channels.
  • Enhancing the overall customer experience to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Collaborating with the Assistant Manager to optimize product availability and implement effective inventory management practices.
  • Encouraging cross-selling and upselling strategies to increase transaction values and overall revenue.
  • Developing and managing customer loyalty programs to foster repeat business and strengthen brand loyalty.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service through active listening and proactive engagement.
  • Adapting policies and procedures in response to the evolving cannabis landscape as the company expands.
  • Overseeing the implementation of essential tools and systems to meet the diverse needs of customers.
  • Managing the dispensary's financial performance, including P&L statements and controllable expenses.
  • Driving merchandising, operations, and marketing efforts to enhance the customer experience.
  • Engaging in community networking initiatives to bolster the dispensary's presence.
  • Ensuring smooth operational transitions through effective opening and closing procedures.
  • Managing cash handling and inventory processes.
  • Exhibiting adaptability in a fast-paced environment, consistently achieving goals amidst challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for all staff and customers.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador and training team members to uphold brand standards.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Consent to a criminal background check is mandatory.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
  • A minimum of five years of management experience in retail, hospitality, or sales is essential.
  • Five years of leadership experience is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of state-specific cannabis regulations is crucial.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on detail and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in technology, including MS Office, POS, and inventory management systems.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and strategies is advantageous.
