Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is integral to the daily operations of the dispensary, focusing on patient-centric service and achieving company objectives. This role involves adhering to company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and correspondence
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Maintain accurate records related to patient intake, cash handling, and waste disposal
  • Participate in daily meetings to align on goals and messaging
  • Deliver compassionate and exceptional patient service consistently
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments

Training & Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and supportive welcome, making every interaction positive
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and proper dosages
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations among team members
  • Review and update educational materials for patients
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings for ongoing development

Sales & Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and best practices with team members to meet targets
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge
  • Engage in daily meetings to ensure consistent messaging and objectives
  • Provide outstanding and empathetic patient service

  • Build relationships with community stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities
  • Computer literacy is essential; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel throughout the workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise
