Role Summary:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is tasked with supporting the daily operations of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving the objectives set by iAnthus. This role involves upholding company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Ensure adherence to local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing and operating office equipment
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in daily briefings to align on goals and messaging
  • Deliver compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a friendly and supportive greeting, making each interaction a positive experience.
  • Maintain proficiency in HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Stay informed on inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure compliance with iAnthus policies and all relevant laws.
  • Review and update educational materials for patients.
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings for ongoing development.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and best practices to meet objectives with team members.
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge.
  • Engage in daily briefings to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Provide outstanding and compassionate service to patients.

  • Build relationships with community leaders and foster trust within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities.
  • Computer literacy is essential; POS experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise.
