The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager of Retail Operations, plays a vital role in the daily functions of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team and supporting iAnthus's objectives. The Associate is responsible for upholding iAnthus's policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operational Duties:
- Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
- Verify accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
- Assist in qualifying patients for our Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
- Ensure adherence to local and state regulations
- Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and email correspondence
- Provide timely patient feedback to management
- Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
- Participate in daily meetings to align on goals and messaging
- Deliver compassionate and exceptional patient service consistently
- Participate in monthly inventory assessments
- Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, creating a positive experience
- Maintain proficiency in HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Stay updated on inventory management and point-of-sale systems
- Keep current on product knowledge and appropriate dosages
- Ensure compliance with iAnthus policies and relevant laws
- Review and enhance patient educational materials
- Engage in quarterly team discussions
- Analyze daily sales and best practices with team members to meet objectives
- Receive training on patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge
- Participate in daily meetings to ensure consistent messaging
- Provide excellent and compassionate patient service
- Act as an ambassador for the iAnthus brand
- Build relationships with community leaders and foster trust
- Adhere to iAnthus's core values of respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service
- Promote adherence to iAnthus's cultural principles
- Maintain the dispensary's aesthetic in line with the iAnthus brand

- Implement brand marketing strategies
- Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation
- Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment is preferred
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Computer literacy is required; POS experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as per applicable guidelines
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday
- Capacity to stand for extended periods
- Ability to use a ladder and general tools for minor repairs
- Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to different elements
