Position: Retail Sales Specialist (Budtender)

As a Retail Sales Specialist at Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, your primary role will be to enhance the purchasing experience for our clientele at the provisioning center.

You will guide both medical and recreational patrons through the process of identifying, selecting, and acquiring cannabis products, which may include flowers, concentrates, edibles, topicals, specialty items, and consumption devices.

Our Retail Sales Specialists are essential to delivering an exceptional customer experience, and thus, they must be approachable, well-informed, and empathetic.


Supervision & Reporting:


Retail Sales Specialists will report directly to the General Manager of the dispensary and collaborate with designated management team members.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate sales and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Welcome customers upon entering the provisioning center
  • Adhere to established internal policies and state regulations
  • Provide in-depth knowledge about cannabis products, including their benefits and uses
  • Offer guidance on various consumption methods relevant to each product
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for recreational transactions
  • Verify necessary documentation and identification during customer check-in
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom
  • Restock sales areas and POS displays as needed
  • Handle cash transactions in compliance with state regulations
  • Participate in team meetings as required
  • Engage in ongoing education and training programs provided by the company and regulatory bodies

Qualifications:


Basic knowledge of cannabis with a willingness to learn essential operational details provided in-house.

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills (1-3 years of experience preferred)
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs without assistance
  • Capability to stand for extended periods
