Role Overview:
As the Manufacturing Operations Leader, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations of the manufacturing unit, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Your primary focus will be on resource management and the development of efficiency strategies aimed at achieving production objectives while minimizing costs, all while enhancing both customer and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple production teams, overseeing all activities across various product lines.
- Strategically drive the company's production goals and initiatives, participating in key strategic discussions and reviews.
- Develop and maintain accurate production schedules and plans to maximize efficiency and optimize labor utilization.
- Manage the annual operating budget and ensure compliance with production controls, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, mentoring team members and supporting sales teams while serving as the primary contact for audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in high-mix/high-technology environments, ideally within the medical device sector.
- Preferred experience in contract manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects and departments, consistently meeting deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and customer interactions.
- Familiarity with FDA QSRs, ISO13485 for medical devices, and ISO 9001:2000 standards.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and organizational skills, adhering to high ethical standards.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and capable of adapting to new technologies.
- Willingness to travel as required.
