Role Summary:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. This role also involves adhering to company policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping for various operational documents
  • Participate in daily team meetings to align on goals and messaging
  • Deliver compassionate and exceptional patient service consistently
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, creating a positive experience
  • Maintain proficiency in HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
  • Become adept in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Stay informed on product knowledge and appropriate dosages
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local laws among team members
  • Update and review patient educational materials regularly
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings for continuous improvement

Sales and Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and collaborate with team members to implement best practices
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Engage in daily meetings to ensure consistent messaging
  • Provide outstanding and empathetic patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is advantageous
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
  • Computer literacy is essential; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with state regulations

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Capacity to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements such as sitting, squatting, bending, and kneeling
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions
