Role Summary:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager of Retail Operations, plays a crucial role in the daily functioning of the dispensary, being part of a patient-focused team and driving iAnthus's objectives. The Associate is responsible for upholding the policies and procedures of iAnthus while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for the Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and email correspondence
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in daily briefings to ensure alignment on goals
  • Deliver compassionate and exceptional patient service consistently
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments

Training & Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, making each interaction positive.
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to iAnthus policies and relevant laws.
  • Review and update educational materials for patients.
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and implement best practices with team members.
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge.
  • Participate in daily briefings to maintain message consistency.
  • Provide outstanding and compassionate patient service.

Company Culture:

  • Act as an ambassador for the iAnthus brand, representing it positively.
  • Build relationships with community leaders and foster trust.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in computer use; POS experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per applicable guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a ladder and general tools for minor repairs.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to various elements.
