Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting all daily operations within the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. This role also involves maintaining compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and email correspondence
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in daily meetings to align on goals and messages
  • Deliver compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Participate in monthly inventory reviews

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, creating a positive experience
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and proper dosage information
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and state regulations among team members
  • Review and update educational materials for patients
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings for ongoing development

Sales and Business Development:

  • Review daily sales and best practices with team members to meet goals
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Participate in daily meetings to ensure consistency in communication
  • Provide excellent and compassionate service to all patients

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Proficient computer skills; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable using a ladder and general tools for repairs
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to fumes, dust, and noise
