The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager of Retail Operations, plays a vital role in supporting the daily functions of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving the objectives of iAnthus. This position is responsible for upholding the policies and procedures of iAnthus while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include:
Operational Duties:
- Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
- Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
- Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
- Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and correspondence
- Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
- Maintain accurate records related to patient intake, cash handling, and waste disposal
- Participate in daily team meetings to align on goals and messaging
- Deliver exceptional and compassionate service to patients
- Participate in monthly inventory assessments
- Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, creating a positive experience
- Stay informed on HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and appropriate dosages
- Ensure all team members adhere to iAnthus policies and legal requirements
- Review and update educational materials for patients
- Engage in quarterly team development meetings
- Analyze daily sales and best practices to meet targets
- Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
- Participate in daily team meetings to ensure consistent messaging
- Provide excellent and compassionate service to all patients
- Act as an ambassador for the iAnthus brand
- Build relationships with community stakeholders
- Embrace and implement iAnthus's core values of respect, diversity, sustainability, and service
- Uphold the cultural principles of iAnthus
- Maintain the dispensary's aesthetic in line with the iAnthus brand
- Contribute to a motivated team environment
- Implement marketing strategies to promote brand sales
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Proficient in computer use; POS experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel throughout the workday
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to use a ladder and perform general maintenance tasks
- Willingness to work in various conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise
