About the Team

At DoorDash, we are assembling a premier Brand Strategy team. This globally positioned team is tasked with addressing both immediate and long-term objectives, ultimately enhancing our business today while cultivating our brand's presence over time, impacting all three of DoorDash's key audiences: Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Brand Strategy, we seek a Senior Brand Strategist to help shape the vision, narrative, systems, and value proposition of the DoorDash brand. This role is pivotal in inspiring creativity and integrating our brand across every facet of our organization. The ideal candidate excels in both systematic frameworks and innovative thinking, thriving in dynamic and sometimes uncertain environments, with a strong inclination towards simplifying intricate challenges.

  • Develop, coordinate, and communicate the vision, narrative, and value of the DoorDash brand and its sub-brands.
  • Collaborate across various departments to ensure alignment of our marketing, business strategies, product offerings, and customer experiences to strengthen the brand equity we aim to establish with our audiences.
  • Act as the primary champion for our three audiences - Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants - ensuring that all strategies are crafted with their needs in mind.
  • Take ownership of and report on Brand Objectives.
  • Create Audience Brand Architectures, narratives, and naming conventions applicable to a variety of current and future initiatives.
  • Work closely with creative teams to inspire exceptional work.

  • You possess over 8 years of relevant experience in brand strategy, either on the brand side or within creative agencies.
  • You have the ability to distill complex issues into clear, focused narratives that resonate throughout the organization.
  • You have a proven track record of developing best-in-class brand positioning and messaging frameworks.
  • You are experienced in creating and implementing brand systems and architectures.
  • You are eager to collaborate with both Marketing and Product teams.
  • You have a strong passion for research and are fluent in brand measurement, with experience in designing qualitative and quantitative studies being a plus.
  • You have a history of partnering with creative teams and/or agencies to produce truly outstanding creative concepts.
